Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook is located a 2 hour drive north of Townsville Airport and a 2.5 hours drive south of Cairns Airport (domestic and international airport).

Is there parking available at Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook?

Yes, there is both off-street parking as well as ample on-street parking. If you are bringing a trailer, there are areas to park your trailer directly across from the house. 

 

Can I bring my boat?

Yes, Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook has a private pontoon, giving you perfect access to your boat.  

 

Can I hold an event or celebration?

Yes, you can celebrate at Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook. Please see Occasions and Events for more information. We welcome you celebrating at Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook for respectful and reasonable use. All bookings require a two-day minimum stay (longer during certain holiday periods). All bookings are subject to terms and conditions, and bond is required.

 

What is there to see and do in the Hinchinbrook region? 

The Hinchinbrook region is overflowing with things to see and do. Enjoy the Hinchinbrook channel and Hinchinbrook Island, with some of the best fishing in the world. Make a trip to the nearby and vibrantly blue Cardwell Spa Pools, or venture further to Murray Falls or Australia's highest single drop waterfall: Wallaman Falls. 

 

Where can I buy supplies, food and drink near Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook?

We recommend picking up your supplies prior to arriving at Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook. In Cardwell, you can visit the local grocery stores and bakery stores, as well as pick up fresh fruit produce from the many market stalls you'll see along the road as you drive in. 

What coffee do I bring?

We supply both coffee beans and coffee pods. If you drink a lot of coffee, we recommend bringing some extra just in case. 

 

Can I bring my children/is there an age limit?

Children are welcome at Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook (with a supervising adult, of course). 

 

What is the minimum stay period?

For the majority of the year, all bookings are subject to a minimum stay of two nights. In certain holiday periods like Easter and Christmas, the Franklin Wing Suite is unavailable and Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook (whole property) bookings are subject to a minimum stay of seven nights. I have more than twelve people in my group, can we still book Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook?

Yes, you can book up to fourteen people at Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook. The advertised price is for twelve guests, with a maximum of two additional guests charged at $35.00 per person per night. You can find out more on our Rates & Availability page.
